The mention of a ‘relapse on her part’ raises questions to which, at the moment I have no answers. On 2 Aug 1826 the case continued with William and Marion being rebuked and absolved of their sin. On the same page of the Kirk Session records it appears that Marion’s elder sister Elizabeth Irvine (married to John McLea or McCloy) was also summoned for the same sin.
