1841 Census - Peter Johnson
Peter Johnson (45, agricultural labourer) was living with his off-spring Catherine (20, dressmaker), Robert (9), James (5), and George (3). They had
moved from Hutton Rudby and were living in Britannia St, Thornaby in the District of Yarm. The four children were born in Yorkshire but Peter states
that he wasn’t; his birth-place of Low Dinsdale being in the county of Durham. In the next house was William Harker (20, joiner). He may have been
related to Sarah Johnson’s mother. Sarah’s parents were William Brown and Catherine Harker.
Britannia St, which no longer exists, its site is now predominantly occupied by the University of Teesside campus.
