John Lamont son to Matthew Lamond Farmer in Wardlaw & Mary Findlay daughter to Robert Findlay Indweller in Kilmk both their first marriages were booked on Wednesday November 16 - 1754 & after orderly proclamation three several (separate?) Sabbaths were married at Kilmk on Friday Dec 6 - 1754 by Mr Leslie Wardlaw can be found less than 2 miles north-east of the centre of Kilmarnock and less than one mile from South Dean Road where, nearly 250 years later, a direct descendant was living.
