Martha Pollock died, aged 45, on 12 May 1893 in Gortnaskea.
Andrew Nutt made his mark on the registration document, and some of the birth certificates, so presumably was unable to write. However, he can
'Read and Write' according to the 1901 Census, eight years later.

The fact that Andrew’s occupation is blacksmith-farmer suggests he occupied the smithy on an earlier map. Though the age has been read by some as
81 this would mean he was born in 1820 and produced his first child at the age of 47, his last at age 67. The age of 61 makes more sense.
I haven’t found the death record of an Andrew Nutt born ca 1820 or ca 1840. The only record that is close is an Andrew Nutt who died, aged 88, in
Gortnaskey on 25 Apr 1904. This would make his dob 1916. His son George Nutt was the informant. The fact that I can’t find another Andrew Nutt in
the 1901 Census and the details, apart from the age (88 when it should be 65), makes this a possible.
