On 6 Aug 1919 the widowed Elizabeth (aged 49) married John William Otley (aged 44). In the 1921 Census they were living at 27 Wood St, Chelmsford with her three youngest children. In the 1911 Census John William Ottley was unmarried and living with his parents in 1 Mansion Yard, Chelmsford. He was a machinist in a ball bearing works. In 1921 seven of Elizabeth Seabrook’s children (five brothers and two sisters, aged 24 to 8) were living ‘over the road’ at 34 Wood St. The eldest child Nora Kathleen Seabrook was one of five domestic servants employed by William Percy Ridley who was a flour miller and malster brewer in Little Waltham, Chelmsford. It is likely that this person is John W O Cornish who was born in Chelmsford in Q2 1917. His mother's maiden name is stated as Cornish. It seems likely that John William Ottley was the father of this illegitimate child. Richard Bertram Seabrook married Dorothy Ellen Blake on 30 Mar 1935 in Chelmsford, Essex. At that time he worked as a boot and shoe repairer at Chelmsford Co-op. He went on to have a distinguished career in Trade Union movement.
