I believe James Torrance to be Oliver Torrance.
In the 1911 Census James has no occupation aged 17 and is described as 'feeble-minded'. Verbal evidence (WTB) stated that 'Jimmy' had meningitis as a
child. James appears in census returns but he can't have been born between the birth of his brother Oliver and the death of his mother. Apart from
census returns I can't find evidence of his birth. Oliver does not appear in the 1911 census, James does. Oliver only appears in the records when he died
aged 29. 'No Occupation' is stated on Oliver’s death certificate.
