1911 Census In 1911 Mary Crichton, now a widow, was still a resident of Ayr District Lunatic Asylum. On the Census she was recorded as an 'Inmate' and a 'Lunatic' (some inmates were categorised as 'Imbecile'). Mary died of senile decay, indefinite, on 9 Nov 1911 in Ayr District Asylum.
