Most of the members of the Lamont family in the 18th and 19th Centuries could be found living in the area close to Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. To give an
idea of distance it is about 6 km (less than 4 miles) from the centre of Kilmarnock to Fenwick. The map was originally printed in 1865 with the
railways added in 1890.
